Wu De of Global Tea Hut, is returning to NY in June to teach a variety of classes

on the tradition of Cha Dao (Way of Tea).

The week kicks off with a Sunday evening Cha Dao Tea ceremony.

Open Tea Ceremony with Wu De​

Time: 5:30pm-7pm

Location: 174 Grand St, Brooklyn, NY 11211

Description: Share tea, space, and wisdom from the leaf with Wu De. We will have tea in quiet followed by a brief discussion. Experience some of the Quietude, Presence, Clarity and Medicine Tea has to offer. Participants will sharpen their senses to the life around them through experiencing beautiful bowls of rare tea.

Monday, June 17th

 

Intro to Cha Dao

Time: 9am-12pm

Location: 174 Grand St, Brooklyn, NY 11211

Description: This workshop is designed as an introduction to the Way of Tea (Cha Dao) and is appropriate for both beginners and those experienced in tea practice.
We will share what it means to live a life of Tea, as well as some of the methods and tools needed to incorporate tea into your own practice. Wu De will be serving beautiful bowls of rare tea.
Space is limited.

Puerh Tea

Time: 2:30pm-4:30pm

Description: The world of Puerh Tea is extensive and vast. In this workshop we dive deep into the tradition, history, and the qualities of Puerh Tea. Join us in drinking wild and rare Puerh Tea.

10 Qualities of a Fine Cup of Tea

Time: 7pm-9pm

Description: In this workshop we will explore the 10 qualities of excellent tea. We will learn how to evaluate tea, teaware and different methods of preparation. Understanding the 10 qualities that make a tea wonderful changes the way we navigate the tea world and is essential to begin to develop mastery. We will be tasting unique and wild Tea. This workshop is appropriate for both beginners and those experienced in tea practice.
Space is limited.

Wednesday, June 19th

Gong Fu Brewing Workshop

Time: 10am-12pm

Location: 174 Grand St, Brooklyn, NY 11211

Description: Gongfu Tea is the pinnacle of the art of tea preparation. In this workshop Wu De will be sharing the art of the gongfu tea ceremony and guide us through the steps on how to brew gongfu tea gracefully. We will learn the history and spirit of this brewing method while experiencing delicious cups of rare tea.

Deepening your Cha Dao Practice - Workshop

Time: 2:30pm-5pm

Description: This workshop is designed for those who have been sitting with tea for some time now as well as those who have begun to serve others. In this workshop Wu De will discuss what it means to live a life of Tea, what it means to be in service, as well as some of the methods and tools needed. Wu De will be serving beautiful bowls of rare tea and there will be time for a Q&A
